Animal Services

The Suwannee County Sheriff’s Office/Animal Services Division is charged with the responsibility of enforcing Suwannee county code. In addition to code enforcement, the Animal Services Division is also responsible for the capture, confinement and care of nuisance and stray animals, the investigation of animal cruelty/nuisance complaints and animal bite investigations, the enforcement of the Rabies Control Program. The Animal Services Division also presents animals for adoption..

At Suwannee County Animal Services, our mission  of caring for the cats and dogs at our facility goes beyond providing a clean and safe environment. In addition to the operation of a very busy Adoption Center, we provide services to protect public health, safety and welfare. We are firmly committed to public education that promotes  responsible pet ownership.
