Tractor Operator I

This fulltime position performs skilled work in the operation of large mowing tractors, chainsaws for clearing right-of-way, and compliance with equipment repairs, adjustments, routine service, and maintenance. An employee in a position allocated to this class performs duties in support of the Public Works Department. Work generally follows standardized procedures but involves choice of action within clearly defined limits. Requires decision relative to the application of various established rules and procedures, which may affect quality, accuracy, and safety. Only experienced applicants will be considered. Rate of pay is $10.00 to $19.89, based on experience and qualifications, plus a generous benefits package.
