Suwannee River Regional Library is seeking applicants for the position of Library Technician I at the Live Oak Public Library, Live Oak, FL. This regular full-time Youth Services position works with a team of staff who delivers day to day services to the public in the youth department of a busy regional library, with strong emphasis on excellent customer service. Proven experience with computer software, record keeping and reports, evaluative reports, policy implementation and knowledge of the Internet is required. Duties include implementing and overseeing library policy and procedure, plan and present programs for children and families at the library and outreach locations, assist with collection development and may supervise staff and/or volunteers in the absence of the Youth Services Manager.

The position requires graduation from a standard high school or its equivalent, supplemented by some training beyond high school in library science or related fields, or any equivalent combination of training and experience. Must have a valid driver’s license and be willing to drive library vehicles to outreach locations. Salary is based on qualifications and experience, and includes a generous benefits package.

The fulltime position with the Road Department will report to the Public Works Director and is responsible for managing the flow of traffic around road construction sites, placement of warning and detour signs, positioning traffic cones and barricades, informing crews of any safety hazards. Work generally follows standardized procedures and requires decisions relative to the application of various established rules and procedures.

Minimum education equivalent to high school diploma or GED. Must possess or be able to obtain DOT certification for maintenance of traffic within 6 months of hire. Must possess a valid Florida Driver’s License. Minimum salary is $12.50 per hour based on qualifications and experience plus a generous benefits package.

This position with the Parks & Recreation Department will work on an as-needed basis and reports to the Day Camp Coordinator. Requirements include performing various planning, leading, supervising, and cleaning up for a variety of theme-based sports, games, crafts, science, and nature activities. Work requires effective and accurate communication skills, responsibility, and the ability to work in a high-stress environment, the ability to work with children ages 6 to 12 and the ability to work well with others.

Commercial Truck Driver II – Solid Waste (FT)

Suwannee County Board of Commissioners is seeking applicants for the following

COMMERCIAL TRUCK DRIVER II

This position is semi-skilled work in the operation of heavy, construction, or truck vehicles. At a minimum, this position requires operation of a knuckleboom truck. An employee in a position allocated to this class performs a variety of heavy equipment operation functions in the support of the Solid Waste Department. Work generally follows standardized procedures but involves choice of action within clearly defined limits. Requires decision relative to the application of various established rules and procedures, which may affect quality, accuracy and safety.

Education equivalent to partial high school education plus one-year experience in the operation of large commercial trucks related to the positions; or, an equivalent combination of training and experience. Requires possession of a valid Class “A” or Class “B” Commercial Driver’s License. Must have the ability to obtain required licenses and certifications related to the job, as needed. Only experienced applicants will be considered. Salary range is $12.50 to $21.61 per hour based on qualifications and experience plus a generous benefits package.
