Suwannee County Board of Commissioners is seeking applicants for the following

PARK MAINTENANCE WORKER I

This fulltime position with the Parks & Recreation Department (a local parks & recreation system of over 300 acres at 21 parks), for Branford (south county parks), works under close supervision and requires the knowledge, use and routine maintenance of mowers, weed eaters, blowers, edgers, trailers and other light equipment. This is a semi-skilled manual labor position that performs in a variety of adverse and uncomfortable weather conditions. Duties performed include general parks/grounds maintenance and repair, including but not limited to the following: picking up trash, mowing, weed eating, edging, blowing, trimming, pressure washing, painting, cleaning, and the inspection, maintenance & repair of facilities and equipment used.

Partial high school education and one year work experience in general grounds maintenance, commercial lawn maintenance or other related experience required.  Must possess a valid Florida Drivers License. Pay range is $12.50-$19.89 per hour, based on qualifications and experience, with a generous benefits package.
